:)

another card using Paper Lovelies’ September kit… so fun!

except, me and rub ons don’t always get along… so i had to draw in the rest of the little box next to “no” where it didn’t come off right, and being one of little patience i never wait for ink to dry either… or paint… or glue for that matter…  also being that it was 3AM my straight lines ended up at little on the jaggy side.  BUT.  it’s still pretty cute ;)  would be a great card for an engagement or wedding, i think!

really so happy to be working with Paper Lovelies!  Carrie puts together the best kits and i get really excited when i sit down to work with them.  if you haven’t checked them out already, you should – but be prepared to buy their kits as soon as she puts them up (on the 25th of every month!) because they sell out WITHIN HOURS!  i mean, who could resist $15 for a box full of some of the best scrapbooking product on the market?!?!

thanks for stopping by :D   be back again soon with more!  as usual!

just a quick little page i made the other night for the collage wall i’m working on…  i really REALLY love the Lime Twist paper collection – it couldn’t have come at a more perfect time!!!  lots of baby boy stuff to scrap and that collection fits my mood and style for the pictures i want to use!  i just wish i’d bought more of it…

he’s just so darn cute :D

the picture had a really orange tint to it after i got it back from Walgreens :(   i tried to use grey and played down the reds/yellows to help diffuse that… but… what do i know about design principles, right?  i really think this turned out fun, overall, and i think that it will look really cute with the rest of the stuff i’m going to incorporate into the huge “gallery” i’m building in our foyer!  thanks as always for stopping by – will be back with more crafty goodness soon!

Author: shaunna | Filed under: Arts & Crafts

justa few cards that i’ve been hanging onto for forever… don’t know why.  random but they are all pretty fun, i must admit.

made for Kris, the guy who gave me amazing hair.  he’s awesome.  :D  scraplifted out of PaperCrafts Magazine, not sure which issue, possibly late spring.  had a lot of fun making this – i’m really in love with grey/yellow right now.

just playing around with stamps.  it took me a lot of practice before i would commit to putting the stamp down on the paper… but it worked out really awesome!!!

literally one of my favorite cards i’ve ever made!  i was so excited while i was making it!!! i just knew it’d be awesome ;)  had to  get a closeup of the dreesses:

i love the words to this Fleetwood Mac song… it’s such a pretty song, and the words are so simple but convey so much.  i am working on some projects for a wall gallery in our foyer, and i really wanted to be able to use this picture (taken on our first anniversary a few weeks ago) as part of the display.

i’ve also really been diggin’ on the color combo trends of late – my two faves right now are this red/aqua and yellow/grey.  i even noticed the other day how snazzy my yellow shirt and orange sweatpants looked together… (not really, but yellow and orange definitely seems like something to consider!) :)   i also want to take this opportunity to brag on and gush over my Silhouette.  i mean really.  how cute is the boy/girl kissing with the little ducky on a string?!  :SWOON:  i bought it as soon as it went up in the Silhouette Store!

this is currently awaiting its place in the wall gallery in a frame on my mantle – i like it there so much that it might just stay

really excited about the Paper Lovelies September kit reveal in just a few days!  i really had a lot of fun working with the kit this month – i got on a roll one night and knocked out two cards!  be back with that update on the 25th!!!

IT’S SO FLUFFYYYYYYYY !!!!!!!!!

Author: shaunna | Filed under: Arts & Crafts

as promised, another creation using my supplies from the August 2011 Paper Lovelies kit!  i really love this kit!!!!

this time a layout… i’ve been wanting to do something with this pic since the day i took it.  my stepdaughter, Courtney, and i went downtown Fort Worth one day for a photo shoot and got some AMAZING pictures.  i think this one is my favorite of all though.  it was taken inside the building my husband works at, the Transport Life Building.  his company has been doing renovations of the old buildings downtown and this building turned out awesome.  there are so many neat little things about it, and the architecture and art inside the building is PHENOMENAL.  i love visiting him at work!  i could just walk around in there and take pictures all day!!!

i’m super happy with the way everything worked out for this page – i spent hours rifling through the papers and trying to figure out what i was going to do, but in the end it all came together so well!

isn’t it gorgeous?!  please don’t mind my crappy photography… i’m still trying to work on making the most of my camera!  hard to do at night with bad lighting, though!  still need to get a lightbox built to help with that… here’s a more detailed shot to show off all the prettiness:

i haven’t made a scrapbook page in forever… i love cards so much, but it was really exciting to foray back into my first love :)  i’m so thankful to be working with Paper Lovelies, too – i think i was right in waiting to scrap this pic until i got the August kit – the Cosmo Cricket goodies really inspired me to capture my feelings about this picture and convey my wishes for Courtney to look back at someday!
